Building More Equitable Futures Through Transportation and Dialogue
February 6, 2026

On Tuesday, February 3rd, our Director of Construction, Landry Philémy, P.E., attended an important and timely conversation at The Roosevelt House Public Policy Institute at Hunter College, hosted by the Sam Schwartz Transportation Research Program in partnership with the Regional Plan Association (RPA).

The evening featured a powerful book talk and discussion on Dividing Lines: How Transportation Infrastructure Reinforces Racial Inequality with author Deborah Archer of the ACLU and Associate Dean at New York University School of Law, joined by Tiffany-Ann Taylor, Vice President for Transportation at RPA. Held during Black History Month, conversations like these are especially meaningful. They create space to reflect, learn, and uplift one another by examining how past and present infrastructure decisions shape communities, access, and opportunity.

Engaging in dialogue that centers equity helps move our industry—and our society—forward. Proud to see our leadership participating in discussions that connect infrastructure, policy, and social impact, and that reinforce the importance of listening, learning, and building more equitable futures together.
