Taking Bridge Inspections to the Next Level
Out in the field, our team recently had the opportunity to collaborate with Flyability and put the Elios 3 to the test—exploring how advanced drone technology can enhance the way we approach bridge inspections.
The goal was simple: capture consistent, high-resolution imagery that could support accurate and reliable 3D reconstruction. By deploying the Elios 3 in real-world conditions, we were able to generate exactly the type of detailed visual data our operations depend on—clear, comprehensive, and ready for analysis.
Once collected, the imagery was processed in PIX4Dmatic, resulting in a highly detailed point cloud and mesh that brings the structure to life. This level of visualization allows our team to better assess existing conditions, document infrastructure with precision, and create a more complete digital representation of the asset.
This workflow highlights the growing impact of drone-based inspection and photogrammetry across our projects. By integrating these tools into our processes, we’re able to document complex infrastructure faster, improve safety by reducing field exposure, and deliver high-quality data to support informed decision-making.
As we continue to explore the capabilities of the Elios 3 and reality capture technologies, we’re excited about what’s ahead—and how these innovations will further elevate the way we serve our clients and support our teams in the field.
