The Projects Are Coming. The Teams Are Forming.
Gedeon GRC Consulting recently attended the Regional Infrastructure Opportunities Summit (RIOS) 2026, where industry leaders, public agencies, major contractors, consultants, and diverse businesses came together to explore the significant investment ahead for infrastructure across New York and New Jersey.
One of the biggest takeaways? More than $100 billion in regional infrastructure investment is on the horizon, and teams are already beginning to form for future opportunities.
The program covered transportation, bridges and tunnels, aviation, ports and marine infrastructure, coastal resiliency, housing, institutional facilities, environmental priorities, capacity building, and more. Discussions also explored how design-build, progressive design-build, and other alternative-delivery models are reshaping procurement and the capabilities firms will need to compete.
Gedeon GRC was represented by President & CEO Rudolf Gedeon, PE, who took the stage as a panelist for the closing Pivot Session. The conversation focused on how business leaders evaluate opportunities, manage risk, and make strategic decisions when changing direction.
Angelica Augustyniak, Senior Marketing & Business Development Specialist, spent the day connecting with agencies, primes, consultants, specialty firms, and potential teaming partners while gathering valuable insight into upcoming opportunities.
The summit also provided a closer look at major projects and capital programs on the horizon, including upcoming bridge and tunnel rehabilitation, port and marine infrastructure, pump station improvements, and other investments throughout the region. Attendees received a resource highlighting 145 upcoming projects, providing additional insight into where the market is headed.
Beyond the numbers and project pipeline, RIOS reinforced something our team knows well: being in the right room, building relationships, and having meaningful conversations early can make all the difference when future opportunities take shape.
