Inspiring the Next Generation of Robotics and Engineering Professionals at H.A.R.T High School
July 16, 2026

The future of robotics, drone technology, and engineering is taking flight at H.A.R.T. (Health, Arts, Robotics and Technology) High School.

This week, Gedeon GRC's Robotics Department officially launched a new summer work-based learning partnership with H.A.R.T., providing students with a hands-on introduction to the technologies and skills shaping the future of engineering. Throughout the six-week program, participants will explore drone operations, engineering applications, FAA Part 107 concepts, surveying, photogrammetry, and other emerging technologies that are transforming how projects are planned, inspected, and delivered.

The program kicked off with a presentation from Miles Kilcourse, Director of Research & Robotic Services, who introduced students to Gedeon GRC's Robotics Department and shared how drones and advanced technologies are being used to solve real-world engineering challenges. From infrastructure inspections to data collection and analysis, students gained insight into the growing role robotics plays across the engineering industry.

Students also had the opportunity to hear from Rudolf Gedeon, PE, President and CEO of Gedeon GRC, who welcomed the group and spoke about the importance of innovation, curiosity, and lifelong learning. Rudolf encouraged students to embrace new opportunities, ask questions, and remain open to discovering where their interests in STEM may take them. He will continue to participate throughout the program, sharing additional insights and experiences with students in the weeks ahead.

As the partnership continues, students will gain valuable hands-on experience, develop technical skills, and explore potential career pathways in engineering, robotics, and technology. The program reflects Gedeon GRC's ongoing commitment to workforce development and inspiring the next generation of innovators.
