We’re excited to share a recent field update from Wantagh State Parkway & Bay Parkway, where the Gedeon GRC team continues to support critical infrastructure improvements across Long Island.

As part of the NYSDOT Drainage Improvement Project, our team supervised the installation of check valves designed to prevent backflow and protect low‑elevation highways and the drainage system. Proper check valve installation is especially critical in coastal areas like Wantagh, where high‑tide seawater can infiltrate drainage systems and compromise performance if not properly controlled.

This work plays an important role in improving storm resilience and protecting key transportation corridors. The progress photos from the site reflect the precision, teamwork, and attention to detail our crews bring to every project.
